This year’s domestic tourism festive season campaign has been themed as Choose Eswatini!
According to information sourced from the Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA) the message is urging locals to skip the cross-border travel costs and make the decision to stay in Eswatini. The ETA says locals can relish the myriad of exciting holiday available for you and your loved ones to explore this festive season.
Launched by the Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs, MP Moses Vilakati at the Happy Valley Hotel, the Choose Eswatini campaign is also supported by the hashtags #PholaEswatini, #PhumulaEswatini and #NgcebelekaEswatini.
A call to every Liswati, the campaign is aimed at encouraging families and friends to enjoy group travel; couples to indulge in romantic getaways and pensioners so that they too know that Eswatini is theirs to explore.
In an article sourced from ETA promoting this campaign via the media, they reminds locals, once again, that the ultimate holiday experiences await you across the four regions of Eswatini. From Shiselweni’s scenic splendour and Hhohho’s highland adventures, to thrilling wildlife safaris in the Lubombo and the vibrant dining and shopping experiences in the Manzini region, Eswatini truly is the perfect holiday destination for all ages this festive season.
ETA states that Choose Eswatini assures you that regardless of which part of the country you decide to visit, you will not regret staying in Eswatini. It implores Emaswati and tourists from across the region to consider and pursue Eswatini as their official festive season destination for that much-needed rest and relaxation.
Making his remarks at the campaign’s launch event, the minister unpacked the campaign’s objectives and its benefit to local tourists.
“The campaign call to action will manifest in the promotion of Eswatini tourism packages designed by local tour operators. The aim is to inform Emaswati’s local holiday plans and clearly present all the diverse experiences, activities and accommodation options we can enjoy,” explained the minister.
The minister went on to commend the role that tour operators have played in promoting domestic tourism.
“Tour Operators are the heroes of our industry. Most of them are young people fuelled by a strong passion for Eswatini’s tourism products.
They are the reason some people have been able to see places they never knew existed in our country. Tour Operators also play an incredible role in ushering our regional and international guests to the Eswatini’s unique attraction sites that make them want to visit again,” said the Minister.
